The RAILBLAZA StarPort HD is a heavy-duty StarPort with a rectangular four-point base. Its hole patterns line up with many existing Scotty, RAM and Cannon mount bases, so it can often replace an old base using the same holes – no new drilling required.
Suitable Locations and Applications
- Flat horizontal or vertical surfaces on boats, kayaks and pontoons
- Replacing existing Scotty, RAM, Cannon or Fish-On style bases
- Permanent installations that need a strong four-point fixing
How It Connects to Birdboss
This mount has a built-in RAILBLAZA StarPort socket. Fit the Birdboss RAILBLAZA StarPort Adaptor Base (BRAB) to your Birdboss, insert it into the StarPort and turn it until the locking slide clicks into place. To remove Birdboss, release the slide, turn and lift out – the mount stays in position, ready for next time.

Installation
Fix through all four holes using stainless-steel bolts with locknuts or rivets suited to your surface. Self-tapping screws are not recommended for high-load applications.
Installation and Safety Notes
- Use all four fixing points and seal fixings on boats to keep water out.
- Remove Birdboss when the boat is under way and in extreme winds (over 40 knots).
- Position Birdboss so the arms can rotate freely, clear of rigging, antennas, canopies and people.
- Adjust the Birdboss arms evenly so the unit stays balanced.
- Check the mount, StarPort lock and Birdboss fittings regularly, especially after rough weather.
- Rinse the mount and BRAB with fresh water after exposure to salt spray.
